Hoposa’s COVID-19 Response: We Take Care of You

Here at Hoposa, we’re committed above all else to the health, safety, and well-being of our guests. That’s always been true, of course, but like everybody else we’ve been working hard to adjust and refine our operating procedures in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Understandably, many are yearning for a relaxing getaway to a beautiful place right now—a well-deserved escape to nourish the soul and relieve stress, both very much vital in these historically trying times. We want you to know that our Hoposa hotels and vacation apartments on the entrancing island of Mallorca as well as our Privilege Aluxes resort on Isla Mujeres in the Mexican Caribbean are there for you! We’ve implemented a top-to-bottom update of our already robust hygiene and cleanliness procedures and our overall guest experiences to make sure we’re providing safe accommodations that remain as welcoming and lavish as ever.

The Hoposa COVID-19 Response

We’ve outlined in detail the measures we’re taking at our Hoposa properties to respond to the challenge of COVID-19 right here; we hope you’ll take a look. In this blogpost, we’ll summarize our overall strategy.

We’ve always pursued the highest standards when it comes to cleaning and hygiene, and we’ve only enhanced these protocols this year. From replacing reusable room elements with disposable and biodegradable ones to increasing the airing interval associated with our room-cleaning process, we’re doing everything we can to ensure our guest rooms, suites, and apartments are as thoroughly sanitary as possible.

All of our guests now have disposable face masks, latex/nitrile gloves, and hand-sanitizing gel upon their request.

We’re also taking the cleanliness and functionality of our properties’ shared common spaces—including swimming pools, sun terraces, playgrounds, and dining establishments—extremely seriously. We’ve spaced out beach/pool loungers and the seating areas of our bars and restaurants to stringently comply with social-distancing guidelines, and we’re cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, tableware, beach/pool towels, and other elements to exacting standards. You’ll find no paper menus at our Hoposa bars and restaurants, but instead digital versions.

We’ve also reduced person-to-person interactions in our check-in procedures, and updated our reservation policy to allow for penalty-free cancellations up to 24 hours before arrival.
