It takes 45 minutes to get to Puerto de Pollensa by car from Palma airport. To leave the airport, take all the signs towards Palma. Then take the exit signposted "Vía Cintura" and continue for 3 kilometres until you see the Ma-13 Inca-Alcúdia exit.

Once on the motorway, continue until the end of the motorway and take the Pollensa exit. Continue straight on along the road towards the town and when you reach Pollensa, follow the signs for Puerto Pollensa.

If you are travelling by public transport, take the A1 bus from Palma Intermodal Station and from there take the 301 bus to Puerto Pollensa. You will arrive at your destination in about 55 minutes.

The extensive promenade and the area of the yacht club are the main attractions of the town centre. From this point you will be able to observe the bay of Pollensa and walk along the promenade that links the kilometric beaches of Port de Pollensa Llenaire or Albercuix.

Another place we recommend you visit is the pleasant Pine Walk, also known as Paseo Vora Mar, near the seafront promenade. Along this route, which can be done by bike or skating, you will be able to see the old summer houses that contrast with the current cosmopolitan atmosphere that characterises the place.

Among the many activities that Puerto Pollensa offers in its urban nucleus, the most outstanding is shopping. This coastal area has a wide variety of fashion boutiques, all of them located around the marina.

For those who want to get to know the essence of local commerce, every Wednesday there is a market in the Plaça Miquel Caplloch, with more than 200 stalls. Here you can find everything from local foodstuffs to Mallorcan handicrafts.

One of the best options for getting around the island if you do not have your own vehicle is public transport. The bus line that goes to Palma is the 301 Puerto Pollensa - Palma.

The best way to get to Alcúdia from Puerto Pollensa is by public transport. The lines that cover this route are the 322 Pollensa - Puerto de Alcudia and the 334 Formentor - Alcudia.

Taxis are another option for getting around Puerto Pollensa if you do not have your own vehicle. There are two taxi ranks in the town:

- At the roundabout on Ecònom Torres street, opposite the entrance to the Club Náutico del Puerto Pollensa.

- On Paseo Londres, opposite the La Talaia beach bar.

During the summer period, vehicle access to Formentor is limited to the public. The best option for vehicle access is the shuttle bus that leaves from Puerto Pollensa.

The town of Pollença, just 6 kilometres from Puerto Pollensa, hides charming places such as the staircase and the Calvary, the Convent and the Cloister of Santo Domingo, the Roman Bridge and the sanctuary of Puig de Maria.

Another of the most common places to visit from Puerto Pollensa is Formentor, one of the most spectacular spots in the Serra de Tramuntana. Among the marvellous hidden corners of Formentor are the Mirador des Colomer, the Talaia d'Albercutx and the Cabo de Formentor, an ideal place to watch the afternoon go by and enjoy the sunset with incredible views.
