Beautiful Beaches in Mallorca
January 15, 2021 | Blog
The Spanish island of Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Archipelago, boasts tremendous variety. That’s certainly true in terms of scenery, which ranges from heavenly seafronts to pastoral agricultural valleys to rugged mountain gorges and sharp peaks. It’s true in terms of the available activities, as well: Here’s a place where, depending on your inclinations, you can enjoy a vigorous hiking adventure or long-distance cycling tour, a family getaway with lots of watersports, an epicurean safari anchored by excellent Mediterranean cuisine and wine, or spend as much time as possible clubbing it up. (Hey, maybe some combination thereof!)
For many, however, the first and foremost image to come to mind when thinking of Mallorca is a beach. Indeed, our island comes chockablock with glorious sandy strands and cove-nestled cobble beaches: wonderful for sunbathing, for surfside strolls, and for taking a refreshing dip or snorkel.
You won’t find better accommodations on Mallorca than Hoposa hotels and vacation apartments, all of which offer easy access to postcard-perfect beaches and waterfronts. Enjoy a beach getaway, Hoposa-style!
Waterfront Hoposa Hotels
Many of our properties are right on the water or nearly so. That includes our numerous Puerto Pollensa locations, including Hotel Pollentia right on the beachfront, Hotel Bahia and Hoposa Illa d’Or abutting the famous Pine Walk promenade, and Hotel Daina, which extends its fabulous saltwater pool out into the bay.
In Hotel Niu, meanwhile, you’ll find your luxury accommodations overlooking the largest beach in Cala San Vicente: the marvelous Cala Barques.
Fine Mallorcan Beaches
Mallorca lays claim to a superabundance of wonderful beaches: We’re truly spoiled here, and you will be too on a Hoposa getaway! The beachfronts range from large, easily accessible, highly popular strands to quiet, farflung, little-known cove frontages.
Some prime examples of the quality of Mallorcan beaches include Playa de Formentor, easily reached from our Puerto Pollensa properties on the ravishingly rugged peninsula of Cap de Formentor. At Cala Mesquida, you can relax against a backdrop of rolling sand dunes and piney heights, while Cala Estellencs exemplifies Mallorca’s dreamy cove stony beaches. The longest beach on the island is Bahia de Alcudia—well worth seeing. The remote hike- or boat-in Cala Boquer rewards your sense of adventure, as do many other off-the-beaten-track seasides on Mallorca.
